Newly appointed George Brown Huskies Women’s Basketball Head Coach Fatih Akser has a simple vision:
1) to build confident leaders through the sport of basketball
2) to educate athletes to maintain healthy lifestyles while pursuing their academic and career goals
In line with that of g.a.b’s core philosophy, we have formed a new partnership with the George Brown Women’s Basketball program to create exciting opportunities for young girls to enhance their existing skills with the sole goal of helping them compete at an advanced level.
The benefits from this newly formed partnerships will help financially support the academic needs of female athletes affiliated with the Huskies Women’s Basketball programs while helping generate further opportunities for g.a.b's youth programs. It is noteworthy to highlight that Huskies #21 Quichelle Barriffe, who is a past g.a.b participant (2006) and an Assistant Coach with g.a.b (2014) will join Coach Fatih in helping train participants at the Huskies Basketball Skills Academy.
Coach Fatih has an extensive basketball portfolio studying, training and coaching at all levels of the game (international, professional, amateur, collegiate) around the world. Listed are a few of the credentials behind his name:
